Intensive courseINTENSIVE "Proven in Space, Works on Earth"
About
What makes a spaceflight successful? Perfect equipment? Advanced technologies? In reality, behind every achievement in space are, first and foremost, people: their professionalism, ability to work as a team, skill in making decisions under conditions of uncertainty and high risk.
Fifteen years in the cosmonaut corps and three spaceflights showed me: the principles ensuring the success of space missions are universal. They work wherever ambitious goals must be achieved under challenging conditions.
How do you build a team capable of solving impossible tasks? How do you make effective decisions under uncertainty? How do you maintain high performance under constant pressure? How do you manage risks when the cost of error is critically high?
This intensive is a unique opportunity to explore these questions through real space experience. Each topic — from the personal story of becoming a cosmonaut to the nuances of managing teams in extreme conditions, from decision-making principles to the art of long-term effectiveness — is revealed through real situations where space approaches proved their worth.
I invite you to spend this day exploring unique practices tested by the most challenging conditions in which humans have ever worked. Those very practices that will help you and your teams reach new heights — on Earth and beyond.
The intensive program includes a selection of topics from the list above and can be adapted to your priorities.
Format
Full-day intensive course is a series of author's lectures interconnected in logical sequence, from personal path to global challenges of the future. Each topic is elaborated using real stories from space practice that become a basis for identifying universal principles of achieving results in complicated conditions.
Features of presentation
- Storytelling based on personal experience of space flights.
- Analysis of specific situations.
- Photos and videos.

Key points
- The quality of connections within a team determines success in complicated conditions: technologies and processes are important, but human factor becomes decisive in the implementation of ambitious tasks.
- Leadership in modern world is about creating an environment for others to develop. Leader’s role is not to manage, but to create a space where people can unleash their potential.
- Systemic approach to work under uncertainty: success in complicated conditions is not accidental, it is based on a combination of careful preparation and flexibility in implementation.
- Sustainability requires balance of ambition and awareness: the long-term ability to achieve results depends on the ability to combine big goals with proper resource management.
- The future is determined by today's decisions: in the era of rapid change, it is critical to develop the ability to see the long-term consequences of current actions.
